There are thousands of different basses on the market today, but here we have a list of 10 classics of their kind – If you get low – they are striving for.
1 FenderPrecision
First introduced in 1951 – it was baby Leo Fender has quickly become the industry standard. Often called the P-Bass is solid "slab" body single pickup, it has perhaps the most popular bass of all time.
Fender Jazz 2
Fender "other" most popular bass – first seen in 1960 – it is different from the Fender Precision with a thin neck shape, two pickups and a body design blocks.
3 Rickenbacker4001

9 Fender V
Although short-lived, the Fender V bass gets onto our list by virtue of being the first 5 string bass to go mainstream, a change in the standard design these 15 FRET Bass had a high C string, to allow access to the notes on the upper register bass. Only a handful of bass produced what today collectors items – and everything in general, making fun of the V is a milestone for 5 string basses, the now current.
