Alongside guitar names like Gibson and Fender, you can not quote the best of the best without adding the name of Rickenbacker. This company exists since 1931, but it was not until 1956, its 25th anniversary, when Rickenbacker began making a name in the world "years guitars.That, Rickenbacker introduced the group 400. Before the Beatles called it quit for good, John Lennon had owned four guitars Rickenbacker himself. The guitar had become so attached to the Beatles, the specimen was known as Beatlebacker. "Never in history had one guitar been so identified with a particular group or person.It was not long but until Rickenbacker made its way to a number of groups. Roger McGuinn of the Byrds bought a Rickenbacker after seeing the Beatles movie "A Hard Day's." The sound of the guitar that McGuinn bought actually became the trademark sound of the Byrds. D other bands and artists who have attacked the Rickenbacker Pete Townsend of The Who, John Fogerty of Creedence Clearwater Revival, John Kay of Steppenwolf. Since the late 60s there was a period of six weeks just waiting for one of these guitars. Were more than popular. They were a real phenomenon.By 1970, Rickenbacker started making guitars with detachable necks. Who also coincides with the keys angled to match the angle of the player's hand. Ont also started making their famous double neck models which has become fairly standard. Other groups started jumping on the wagon as Tom Petty and REMCurrently Rickenbacker, Rickenbacker is popular as it ever was. Current bands like Oasis, Pearl Jam, Radiohead and U2 all use Rickenbacker guitars to get their patented sound.If you want an idea of the popularity Rickenbacker, George Harrison of the Beatles was once asked who was playing guitar and he replied: "Certainly it is a Rickenbacker .
